Job Summary:
Responsible for supervising, coordinating with other departments and scheduling of all assembly personnel to ensure a quality product is complete for on time delivery.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities of workers who assemble and inspect products
- Work towards continuous improvement and resolve work issues and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
- Coordinate with other departments for flow of product
- Requisition materials and supplies
- Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
- Enforce company disciplinary policies
- May set up machinery and equipment

Other Duties, but not limited to:

- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports, in order to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
- Observe work, and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker issues or complaints
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of assembly practices and procedures.
- 3 - 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical experience is an asset
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work under little or no supervision
- Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
- Overhead crane experience would be an asset
- Ability to operate a forklift considered an asset
- Capable of sustained physical effort
