We are currently recruiting for Child Care Assistants, and supply staff to become part of our talented and committed child care community for our Before and After School Programs.

** Term & hours of work**:

- Locations are in elementary schools all across the city and surrounding areas.
- Days and hours can vary to work with your schedule. We will work with you
- Programs operate Monday
- Friday 7:30-9:00 and 3:30-6:00 (hours may vary at different schools)

** Qualifications**:

- **Child Care Assistants, and Supply Staff**: successful applicants will have experience working with groups of school age children.

Early Childhood Educators who meet London Children’s Connection’s qualifications will be considered first.
(Early Childhood Educators must provide proof of registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators.)

** All successful applicants will receive orientation and ongoing professional learning support.**

Skills required**:

- Excellent program planning and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
- Knowledge of the needs and developmental stages of school age children
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, LCC’s Policies & Procedures & Program Statement, as well as Ministry of Education regulations

** Position responsibilities**:

- To provide a safe, healthy environment for school age children through responsible supervision and decision making
- To create a balanced program of activities suitable for a before and afterschool program to create a positive start and end to the children’s school day.
- To maintain effective and professional communication with parents, school staff and community partners
