Independent Construction Project Coordinator

**Position Overview**: The Independent Construction Project Coordinator will assist the Owner's Representative in managing construction projects for our high-end gaming establishment. This role involves coordinating daily activities, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders, and maintaining project documentation to facilitate timely and within-budget project completion.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Communication and Coordination**: Act as a liaison between the Owner's Rep, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless information flow.
- **Scheduling and Meetings**: Organize and schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes.
- **Timeline Management**: Monitor project schedules, update Gantt charts, and report on progress to ensure adherence to timelines.
- **Documentation**: Maintain comprehensive project records, including contracts, permits, and correspondence.
- **Billing Review**: Conduct initial reviews of invoices and billings, ensuring accuracy before presenting them to the Owner's Rep.
- **Vendor Management**: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- **Quality Assurance**: Assist in monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project coordination or a similar role.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, including Google Suite and MS Office, especially Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Fluent in French and English (written and verbal)
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations.
**Employment Details**:
- **Compensation**: This is an independent consultant role offering a competitive hourly rate between **$40 to $45 CAD**.
- **Hours**: Work hours range from **24 to 40 hours per week**, primarily during daytime hours when construction vendors and workers are on-site. Flexibility is required as there may be occasional needs to work or answer calls during weekends.
- **Schedule Flexibility**: While work is predominantly scheduled during weekdays, the role demands availability to accommodate project needs, including potential weekend communication.
Pay: $40.00-$44.00 per hour
