Reporting to the Senior Master Planner, the Production Project Planner develops production plans in collaboration with the Project Manager and in consultation with department managers to support, measures progress and identifies resource, space and equipment needs for overhaul projects, and other modifications.

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute planning activities such as: preparation of schedules, communication, upkeeping programs (_EPM, Interal, Winprod, Elogbook etc_), coordinating special requests, meeting targets, and capturing/evaluating upcoming risk to help decision making;
- Schedule the work on the equipment based on established project targets, rolling stock/resource/space availabilities and maximize the work completed while equipment is out of service;
- Coordinate with the planning team the movements and transfers (planned & special) of equipment between centers for the needs of the project. Coordinate with Methods and production the sequence of operations and ensure that the required work is done;
- Participate in production meetings to identify production targets, slippages, and work with production to develop, review and communicate deviation from targets and create recovery plan;
- Produces and develops performance reports to support department objectives;
- Keep equipment follow-up information and their assignments up to date maintains spreadsheets as required to follow consists and equipment in service, in storage, in projects, on or off-site, serviceable or non-serviceable with all pertinent information related to each piece of equipment available;
- Plan and coordinate work on modifications required by the Engineering department;
- Coordinate with production, Control Centre and the planning team for the movements and transfers (planned & special) of equipment between centers. Coordinate with the Controller the sequence of equipment to enter in the maintenance centers while ensuring that the required work is done.

**Required**:

- University degree in operations management, administration, engineering or equivalent or +5 years of experience in a production environment, including at least 1-2 years of experience in planning

**Competencies**:

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, WinProd,
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with advanced functions of Microsoft Excel and the MS Project suite
- Bilingual (oral and written)
- Fast thinker with good decision-making skills
- Positive to fast paced changing work priority
- Knowledge of Power Bi system an asset
