Currently looking for a tutor who can work with a **grade 8 student. The preferred tutoring day is Saturday (start) 12:00 or 12:30 - 2:00 or 2:30 (2 hours).**

**The tutor must be able to tutor grade 8 math & writing.**

**Position Overview**:
As an **In-Home Tutor**, you will play a pivotal role in students' academic journeys by offering one-on-one support and guidance.

**Tutor Responsibilities (not an exhaustive list)**:
**- Must be able to proficiently tutor** **K - grade 8** **mathematics & writing.**
- **Nice to have**:can also tutor in at-least one of the following; general science, biology, chemistry, or physics.
- Conduct engaging and interactive lessons to enhance understanding and retention of key concepts.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Assess students' progress, identify areas for improvement, and deliver constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tutoring sessions, including student performance and lesson plans.
- Foster effective communication with students, parents, and the company to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to continually enhance teaching methods and curriculum materials.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Driver's License, insurance, and reliable access to a car.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience, preferably in a one-on-one setting.
- Strong understanding of the Ontario Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Ability to travel to students' homes within a designated service area.
- Ability to commute to the storage facility (in Oakville directly off the QEW & Third Line) during open hours to pick up learning materials/resources (if needed).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Flexible working hours to accommodate students' schedules, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
