We currently recruiting full-time Cultivation Associates for our greenhouse facility located in Ancaster, Ontario. Previous landscaping, outdoor labour, or greenhouse experience preferred.The Cultivation Associate position is part of the greenhouse Cultivation team and assists with crop growing operations. Duties include executing plans for fertilization, planting & harvesting, including breaking down and setting up grow rooms, and washing and sanitizing equipment.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Minimum 2 years prior experience as a grower or a similar processing role in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience working with plants or in a greenhouse environment is considered an asset
- This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift/move heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
Other responsibilities include:
- Working with soil, plants, and water
- Engaging in basic plant maintenance (trimming, watering, fertilizing, etc.)
- Participating in grow room preparation and maintenance before, during, and after grow cycles and harvests
- Transporting plants via carts and by hand
- Working with other staff members and leadership to support department requirements.
- Ensuring compliance of company safety and quality procedures
- Ensuring cleanliness of facility at all times by doing various tasks such as sweeping, mopping and sanitizing tools and equipment
- Must have access to personal means of transportation - this location is not accessible by public transportation

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a greenhouse and manufacturing working environment, which may have continuous exposure to heat, light and humidity, extreme variation of temperature throughout different areas and departments of the facility.High decibel output from the automated trimming machines, must be able to wear all designated PPE including over the ear hearing protection for long periods of time.
