Aquafit Instructor

**Job Profile**:
The City of Cambridge is looking for qualified Aqua Fit Instructors to join our team. The following duties will apply:
**What you will be doing**:

- Provides Aqua Fitness instruction; plans, designs and implements Aqua Fitness classes for all ages and abilities.
- Ensures that the equipment is in place and operational and that the equipment is stored away after use.
- Reports any situations and/or areas of concern to Head Instructor/Guard.
- Acts to deal with incidents, problems and emergencies and comply with Divisional/City policies and procedures.
- Follows safety supervision basics and ensures safety of program participants. Practices a preventative approach
- to safety and responds to accidents and incidents involving patrons as required, including completing proper
- documentation.
- Attend and participates in training sessions as required

**Experience and Knowledge**:

- Standard First Aid, CPR C and AED Certification
- Must possess one of the recognized Aquatic Fitness Certifications - CALA, WaterART or AQX, YMCA or equivalent

**We are looking for these certificates**:

- Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED**We will ask you for these items if you are hired**:

- Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications.- Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)- Current Standard First Aid (CPR-C)- Current and valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check to be provided prior to commencement in this position.**Rate of pay**:
The hourly rate for this position will vary pending qualifications; however, will be within the hourly range of $25.00 - $32.00 depending on qualifications and experience.

**Hours of work**:
Hours will include evenings, weekdays or weekends and are dependent on the number of participants taking part in our programs; as such, there are no minimum hours associated with this position.
