Summary:
Haldimand Commercial Maintenance is seeking a motivated individual to join and lead our excavation team with various projects.
- Jobs are varied and range from Digging foundations, Installation of culverts, Landscape Construction ditching work, Grading, Water and Sewer Installation and repair, Emergency work & Road Maintenance.

Our working heavy equipment operator will work independently alongside & oversee Team members to organize, perform and execute various excavation services for customers.

Resonsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment (Excavator, Backhoe, Bull Dozer Etc).
- Conduct daily circle checks of equipment before operating
- Clean and maintain equipment and perform minor repairs. Ensure fuel and other fluid levels are at optimum levels
- Organize, Direct and Supervise a Crew of team members to facilitate and execute various excavation service jobs with efficiency.
- Work with, encourage and facilitate growth amongst team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including driver logbooks for CVOR vehicles, hours of service, etc.
- Assist with general duties to maintain the shop, common areas, and exterior of the yard
- Must have valid drivers license (AZ License an asset)
- Respond to various emergency situations such as water main breaks, sewer back-up flooding, accidents etc.

What You'll Bring:

- AZ license considered an asset
- Experience with Excavation Services considered an Asset including but not limited to: Ditching work, Grading, Water and Sewer Installation, Maintenance & Repair, Emergency work & Road Maintenance.

- Flexible, Organized, and able to manage time in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with general equipment maintenance and operation of small tools and heavy equipment
- Effective communication (both written and verbal) to accurately document daily activities
- Willingness to remain on call occasionally and work assigned day, night, and weekend shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working and driving in outside weather conditions

**Salary**: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
