**How to Apply**:
**_ Minimum Qualifications:_**
- Secondary school education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Class G licence with an acceptable drivers abstract
- Good technical and mechanical skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated safe work practices (in compliance with applicable legislation, i.e. Minimum Maintenance Standards, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7, County of Brant Health & Safety Policies & Procedures, etc.)
- Valid Class D licence with Z endorsement considered an asset
- Knowledge related to Operations would be considered an asset

**_Duties:_**
- Patrol County road system between the hours of 7pm - 7am.
- Keep a detailed written diary; highlighting roads patrolled, actions taken and time of activity on 24-hour clock system (e.g. call in time for contract or regular employees).
- Respond to County of Brant dispatch requests to investigate complaints, road conditions, accident reports, obstructed signs, traffic light malfunctions, etc.
- Keep Record of Duty Status Sheets up to date.
- Call in additional winter control equipment Operators when required.
- Supervise and provide direction to Operators until such time that a Road Superintendent has relieved you of this responsibility.
- Check the operation of streetlights and record lights requiring repair in both urban and rural areas.
- Other duties as assigned.

Current Rate: $31.00/hour 44 hours per week

Shift Details: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on a four day cycle

Length of Contract: Mid November to Mid April
