**MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN**-**St. Basil Catholic Education Centre**

We are looking to hire a continuous 35.0 hour per week Maintenance Technician at St. Basil Catholic Education Centre in Lethbridge. This assignment is to commence as soon as possible. This position is covered by the CUPE 1825 collective agreement. Please quote **Posting #3956156.**

**The Individual**

The Maintenance Technician supports the effective and efficient functioning of the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division's facilities by coordinating data entry, scheduling, documentation, and logístical support related to maintenance operations. This position plays a key role in asset management, preventative maintenance planning, project administration, and the continuous improvement of standard operating procedures for both maintenance and caretaking. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. A class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

**EDUCATION**:**
- Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) or Certified Technician (C.Tech.), or currently in training for certification;

**WORK EXPERIENCE**:**
- Minimum two years of technical work experience in a related field.

**TECHNICAL SKILLS**:

- Broad understanding of building systems (construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire protection);
- Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.

**INTERPERSONAL SKILLS**:**
- Strong scheduling, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving skills;
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands, meet deadlines, and work with mínimal supervision;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills;
- Professional and respectful communication with students, staff, administration, contractors, and vendors;
- Demonstrates a positive and proactive work ethic with attention to quality;
- Able to accept direction and contribute as part of a broader facilities and school team;
- Respectful and appropriate conduct in an educational environment.
