**Job Purpose**

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Safely transport allocated mats and equipment for specified projects using a variety of tractor-trailer combinations.
- Diagnose basic issues with truck and perform general maintenance.
- Transport equipment and mats to off-road, temporary road and adverse weather conditions.
- Comply with DOT and all interprovincial regulations.
- Ensure Cargo is secured as per NSC 10 regulation.
- Record Cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel expenditures.
- Maintain hours of service logbook as well as pre and post trip inspections.
- Flexibility to accommodate overnight stays, including sleeping in a truck when required.

**Qualifications**
- Class 1 Driver's License
- H2S Alive
- Standard First Aid Ticket
- Clean Driver’s abstract
- Experience hauling either Low bed, Super B or Winch
- Extensive experience working on off-road, temporary road and uneven road conditions
- Ability to use tire chains safely and efficiently when required
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Completion of Hours of Service and Load securement course
- Ability to pass pre-employment/pre-access drug and alcohol testing when required
