**Overview**: TCE is a not-for-profit agency that provides long-term residential, community, and outreach support to adults with developmental disabilities in the Ottawa area. We currently operate 14 residential locations and a Head Office. We are seeking a hands-on, reliable, and safety-conscious Maintenance Person to help keep our homes running safely and smoothly.

**Position Summary**:
The Maintenance Person is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections across all TCE properties. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all homes and administrative facilities are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with applicable regulations, including MCCSS standards, fire codes, and health and safety legislation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs across all TCE residential and office locations (e.g., drywall, painting, plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry).
- Conduct regular interior and exterior inspections and respond to maintenance service requests in a timely manner.
- Support seasonal and emergency tasks including snow and ice removal, salting, yard maintenance, and storm cleanup.
- Coordinate, track, and perform routine preventative maintenance of equipment, appliances, and infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Assist in larger projects such as renovations, safety improvements, and furniture installations.
- Work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and all agency policies.
- Act as a point of contact for alarm monitoring and emergency maintenance support.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall repair, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Valid G-class Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle (minimum $1 million liability coverage).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work outdoors in various conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Must be flexible, dependable, and professional in a multi-site work environment.

**Compensation**:

Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
