We are a proudly Indigenous-owned and operated consignment store located in Nepean, Ottawa dedicated to showcasing and supporting the work of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis artists. Our space is more than a shop—it’s a community hub that celebrates culture, creativity, and connection. We carry handmade art, jewelry, home goods, and traditional crafts. Each piece tells a story, and we’re looking for someone who’s excited to help share those stories with the public.

**Position Overview**

As a Store Associate, you’ll provide warm, knowledgeable customer service while maintaining a respectful and engaging shopping environment. You’ll also support daily store operations, including sales transactions, restocking, consignment intake, and merchandise display. We are looking for someone who is available to work weekends and occasional evenings.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Welcome customers, offer product information, and share artists' stories respectfully and accurately
- Process purchases through the POS system
- Assist with receiving, tagging, and displaying consignment items
- Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of the store
- Restock and rotate inventory as needed
- Participate in store events and artist features when scheduled
- Uphold store values of cultural respect, authenticity, and inclusion

**Qualifications**:

- Retail experience, especially in arts, crafts, or cultural spaces
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Respectful and informed engagement with Indigenous cultures
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a small team
- Comfortable using a POS system and handling cash/debit
- Experience with Shopify an asset
- Able to work long and flexible hours when required

Employment Type: Part-Time (Saturday & Sunday) and occasional evenings

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.50 per hour
