As the Triage and Clinical Support Specialist, you will serve as a first point of contact for individuals seeking mental health support. This position plays a critical role in assessing urgency, identifying risk, and ensuring clients are connected to the most appropriate internal or external services in a timely, compassionate, and clinically sound manner. Specific responsibilities include:

- Conduct telephonic screening to assess the nature, severity, and urgency of mental health concerns presented by Calgary Police Service (CPS) employees and their family members.
- Match clients with appropriate internal psychologists, social workers, or external community providers based on presenting needs, clinical requirements, and service availability.
- Document triage and intake assessments clearly and accurately within the Jane App (Electronic Medical Record
- EMR).
- Coordinate referrals for psychotherapy, psychological assessments, psychiatric consultation, psychoeducational assessments, trauma informed complementary therapies, and other wellness supports.
- Troubleshoot scheduling challenges and testing requirements to ensure efficient, seamless processes.
- Provide guidance to employees and family members on available mental health and wellness options within CPS and the broader community.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of CPS clinical pathways, confidentiality protocols, and relevant wellness resources.

**Qualifications**
- A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or a related behavioural-health area and a minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical mental health environment that includes clinical triage, intake, or crisis-screening experience.
- Working knowledge of the Alberta Health Act is required.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems and familiarity with the Jane App would be an asset.
- Preference will be given to applicants with a professional registration through a provincial college or national association.
- Experience with administration of psychometrics will be considered an asset.

**Pre-employment Requirements**
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.
