Receiving Team Lead

**Job Description Summary**:
STEMCELL’s Distribution team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Team Lead to supervise and mentor our Receiving team for the afternoon shift at our Burnaby location.

This role is for a Monday to Friday afternoon shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm). The initial 2 month training period will occur during regular day shifts. The afternoon shift is eligible for premium pay of $2/hr.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure that staff are effectively trained for the tasks that they are responsible for
- Directly manage staff, including day-to-day scheduling and time off, conducting performance reviews and career planning, and managing performance improvement plans with the functional Manager as needed
- Act as a backup for the Functional Manager as needed
- Determine and coordinate Associate's daily assignments and tasks as needed
- Contribute to the daily workload of the assigned function - physically handle goods and materials, including packaging for transport
- Follow, and ensure team members follow, all safety, security and regulatory requirements, work instructions and procedures as applicable
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and high reach pickers, as assigned
- Perform transactions in the company’s ERP system, SAP
- Work in chilled and frozen storage areas (4 degree or -20 degree temperatures)

**Knowledge and Qualifications**
- 5+ years’ experience in a warehouse environment, with some supervisor/manager experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills
- Ability to handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
