**Position Purpose and Summary**
The Teambuilding Facilitator will lead a variety of client groups in Trinity Western Outdoor Centre (TOC) programs, including off-site events, and will oversee the complete operation of these groups from the time of their arrival to departure.
**Key Areas of Accountability**
- Demonstrate mastery of the skills needed to conduct physical elements (ie. belaying, safety, spotting, and sequencing skills).
- Prepare for event days by making any necessary confirmation calls, being on time, and staying until all work is completed.
- Assist in set up and take down of elements and be responsible for all gear and equipment used.
- Keep the Challenge Course in good working condition. Take steps to prevent damage, theft and/or loss of all equipment. Report damage and any repairs needed.
- Review medical forms and address any medical questions/concerns.
- Ensure the group members properly sign all waivers.
- Manage the complete operation of the group including daily logistics, program, safety and paperwork.
- Complete all reports and rope logs and file appropriately.
- Facilitate one group at least every six months to maintain access to the course, unless exempted from this provision by the TOC Director or TOC Operations Manager.
- Make sure the Course is locked and cleaned in a safe manner to prevent unauthorized access.
- Report any equipment problems, failures or enhancements to the Director on the course report form and in person.
- Present a professional image that follows TOC’s core values; including dress, language, and demeanour when facilitating or communicating with potential, present or past TOC clients
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge of challenge course and experiential education as outlined by ACCT facilitator requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and knowledge regarding leadership development and styles, group dynamics, and corporate teambuilding strategies.
- Ability to climb heights using a harness and rope safety systems.
- Physically fit and able to participate in staff training.
- Ability to assess the client’s needs and ability to exercise proper judgement to not take clients beyond their limits.

**Standards & Requirements**
**Education**:
- Valid CPR and first aid certification is required.
**Experience**:
- 1 year experience with Trinity Western Outdoor Centre or a similar program is considered an asset.
- Duties and responsibilities that do not constitute a major change may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of the supervisor either orally or in writing._
