As an Education Assistant (EA) you will be expected to work under the guidance and supervision of the classroom teacher.

**Responsibilities**:
Promotes an atmosphere of respect for students and adults

Provides a positive, caring and safe school environment

Demonstrates ethical and confidential behaviour

Show patience and understanding towards students

Makes a positive contribution to the school’s functions and activities

Carries out teacher directed activities to reach the student’s established goals

Works with individual and/or groups of students

Assists in the locating and organization of resource materials

Monitors students within and outside of the classroom

Observes and records students’ behaviour in accordance with teacher’s plan

Assists with the organization and supervision of community based learning experiences

All other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher

**Qualifications**:As an Education Assistant you must have the ability to develop strong, positive relationships with the students. You must be able to work as a team member of the Education Staff. Prior related work experience, education, and additional skills will be taken into consideration (e.g. woodworking, mechanical, music).

**Salary**: $21.90-$29.57 per hour

- 8 hour shift
