Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Skate Patrol/Coordinator/Supervisor, the Junior Skate Patrol supervise and maintain a safe, enjoyable environment for all users.
Responsibilities
Junior Skate Patrol is responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable skating experience; providing assistance to patrons, including assisting them on or off the ice; assist with emergency situations and support Senior Skate Patrol; creating positive relationships with patrons while ensuring adherence to skate program rules; enforcing policies and regulations for the skating facilities and performing other duties assigned.
Requirements- Must be at lease 14 years of age- Supervise participants and maintain complete vigilance to minimize risks, and be ready to respond at all times- Maintain a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive program environment for all participants by educating and enforcing program rules- Ensure all participants are equipped with proper personal protective equipment (e.g. helmet) when required- Provide a high level of front line customer service including greeting and engaging participants- Communicate with participants in regards to accident prevention- Support with addressing and resolving complaints and on-ice issues- Report all concerns, accidents, and incidents to Coordinator/Supervisor- Attend meetings/training as required
