Transportation Safety Manager

**Mandate**
CAT Inc, a leader in the transportation industry, is looking for a dependable person to join our rapidly growing company. We are currently looking for an experienced individual, who would join our Safety team to oversee them and ensure compliance with FMCSA DOT and Canadian regulations as well as company guidelines.
**Responsibilities**
- Oversees and manages the safety team
- Manages driver safety and compliance programs including development, supervision, reporting and maintenance of such programs
- Analyzes safety needs and develops, as well as oversees all training programs including monthly training by department, and any remedial training efforts
- Oversees Department of Transportation regulation compliance in accordance with FMCSA
- Oversees log compliance to identifies and help develop training opportunities
- Oversees fuel conservation programs to ensure drivers are not wasting Fuel and evaluates effectiveness of programs
- Performs miscellaneous project work as directed
- Manage Safety reporting to identify counsels and trends
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
- Preferred experience in trucking safety management
- Ability to analyze and resolve issues using sound logic
- Ability to lead, motivate and work well with others.
- Strong negotiation skills
- The ability multi-task and perform accurately and reliably in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- The ability to work independently to achieve goals
- Work a high degree of integrity and dependability
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detailed oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

Nous sommes actuellement à la recherche d'une personne expérimentée, qui rejoindrait notre équipe de sécurité pour la superviser et assurer la conformité avec les réglementations FMCSA DOT et canadiennes ainsi qu'avec les directives de l'entreprise.
**Responsabilités**
- Superviser et gérer l'équipe de sécurité.
- Gérer les programmes de sécurité et de conformité des conducteurs, y compris l'élaboration, la supervision, l'établissement de rapports et la mise à jour de ces programmes.
- Analyser les besoins en matière de sécurité, élabore et supervise tous les programmes de formation, y compris la formation mensuelle par département et les efforts de formation corrective.
- Superviser la conformité aux réglementations du ministère des transports, conformément à la FMCSA.
- Superviser la conformité des registres afin d'identifier et d'aider à développer des opportunités de formation.
- Superviser les programmes d'économie de carburant pour s'assurer que les conducteurs ne gaspillent pas de carburant et évalue l'efficacité des programmes.
- Effectuer divers travaux de projet selon les instructions.
- Gérer les rapports de sécurité afin d'identifier les conseils et les tendances.
- Autres tâches connexes assignees.
**Qualifications**
- Expérience préférée en matière de gestion de la sécurité dans le secteur du transport routier.
- Capacité à analyser et à résoudre les problèmes en faisant preuve de logique.
