**What You’ll Do**
Gyptech is seeking a **Manager,** **Mechanical Design **to lead our Mill/Formulation Group. Your role will involve:
- Overseeing, motivating and providing direction to the Mill Group.
- Determining staffing requirements for optimal management and project delivery.
- Developing / Overseeing machine concepts and detailed designs in a 3D modelling environment.
- Participating in all phases of the design, development, and implementation of our machine technology.
- Researching and analyzing requirements and technical specifications to satisfy the end-user.
- Interfacing with customers, vendors and other managers to determine project scope, requirements, deliverables, budget, costing and schedules.
- Providing onsite installation, troubleshooting, commissioning and maintenance support for our equipment in the field.
- Reviewing designs with fabrication shops, vendors and others to ensure consistent design, fabrication and quality specifications.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase production, quality and safety.
- Working closely with our international offices in Sweden and Germany to integrate Swedish equipment into layouts and collaborate on international projects.
This position is based out of our head office in Burlington with regular international travel.
**What You Offer**
- An Engineering Degree or equivalent education/experience with 7 plus years of mechanical design experience.
- Advanced Inventor / AutoCAD knowledge and design skills are essential.
- Advanced knowledge of material handling / automation equipment.
- Inspirational leader with a commitment to excellence.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize are essential to meet tight deadlines
