**The Role**:

- Identify, analyze and assess funding opportunities for revenue and success potential. Promote and advertise best value opportunities to SLs and OLs in all research disciplines.
- Manage changing and competing timelines to adapt to last-minute grant opportunities
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of funding opportunities and requirements, and be able to match opportunities to Research Groups' strengths and areas of expertise.
- Report to Grants Manager on competition results and success rates.
- Prepare communications on funding decisions for researchers, deans, finance, Communications Officer, and other appropriate departments.
- Monitor and report on ARIS research developments with a view to leveraging key areas of activity into research proposals and revenue growth.
- Maintain appropriate grants data and records in paper form and in grants management database.

- Review and track grant and funding awards; advise Research teams of upcoming reporting requirements, facilitate progress and final report submission, ensuring completion and appropriate documentation included.
- Support grant project extension requests and requirements
- Work closely with ARIS Finance for financial reporting; ensuring eligibility is met according to the terms of the relevant funding agreement and budgets.
- Respond to ARIS Operations Team and Research Team queries regarding research related policies and procedures.
- Communicate interesting research-related stories to Research Communications Officer for development and dissemination.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum Bachelor degree from an accredited university, and at least three years' experience in areas of grants management and research administration and development
- Experience in fostering effective communication within and among multidisciplinary groups
- Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail oriented, resourceful, innovative, flexible, accessible
- Proven capacity to excel in an independent, highly confidential, ever-changing work environment
- Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Very strong editorial and documentation skills, especially in relation to technical documents
- Ability to work with grants database software
