- Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities; propose simple jigs, fixtures, or work-instruction updates to reduce rework and variability.
- Operate common shop tools and test equipment safely (multimeters, torque tools, crimpers/ferrule tools, wire strippers, label printers, pressure gauges, and basic hand tools).
- Maintain a safe, organized work area and comply with applicable LOTO, PPE, and shop safety procedures. Collaborate with the production manager, design engineering specialists, logistics, and peers to resolve build questions and meet shipment schedules.
- What you'll need to succeed_
- Graduate of an electromechanical, mechatronics, electrical, or industrial maintenance technician program, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and simple mechanical drawings and executing builds accordingly.
- Demonstrated skill in enclosure wiring and harnessing, crimping and ferruling, neat layout, and clear labeling.
- Competent with multimeters and common measurement tools; careful, methodical approach to test setups and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with reliable record-keeping on travelers, checklists, and as-built logs.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork in a workshop/ warehouse environment; eagerness to learn and adhere to standard procedures.
- Computer literate, with a proficiency in spreadsheets, along with the ability to learn Smartsheet and other internal systems.
