**IT SPECIALIST**

The IT Specialist is responsible for the overall company-wide IT network infrastructure, including servers, workstations, storage, local and wide area network, virtual environment, cellular and remote Access administration. Along with managing the Company’s hardware and software, the IT Specialist will maintain best practices in security and maintenance of infrastructure assets and will maintain currency on IT industry trends and provide recommendations on infrastructure improvements.

**Key Responsibilities**include but are not limited to**:

- Responsible to install, configure and maintain operating systems, servers, software and hardware systems in support of business operations.
- Primary administrator for Company domain(s). Responsible for server hardware & software implementations and maintenance, including routine database of supporting documentation
- Provide network performance monitoring, reporting, records and evaluation.
- Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a process and schedule of system backups and database archive operations
- Develop and integrate techniques to protect corporate data through anti-virus deployment and development/deployment of a sound disaster recovery plan including proper backup practices.
- Primary technological liaison to all staff; handling support requests with timeliness and accuracy
- Administration of Viewpoint Construction Software and Procore.
- Prepare all hardware and software for new hires and conduct onboarding sessions as needed.
- Troubleshoot, diagnosis and repair of server hardware/software issues.
- Develop, implement and maintain best practices in: security and privacy standards, risk analysis and audits, disaster and recovery plans.
- Develop relevant reference guides and workflows for users
- Maintain problem documentation and resolution procedures for reference procedures.
- Maintain all system and program licenses and upgrade schedules
- Manage Mobile Devices, including hardware, vendor contracts and records
- Maintain confidentiality and security of company documents and customers.
- Managing 3rd party IT consulting services as required.
- All other duties as assigned to meet Company objectives.

**Position Requirements**

**Educational & Professional Requirements**:

- Post-secondary diploma/degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or Computer Science
- 5 years of relevant experience; help desk support is an asset
- A valid Driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required
- Experience with personal computer hardware and software, local and remote network systems including advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Experience with Windows 10 and 11 operating systems troubleshooting and hardware support.
- Windows Server experience in active directory environment.
- Administration of Microsoft Exchange
- Administration of Office 365 and Intune.
- Proficiency with Viewpoint Construction Software
- Knowledge of Viewpoint Construction Software and Procore is an asset.
