**Position Summary**

The Fusion Trainer provides ISCO associates and customers with training services related to safe and productive use of Heat fusion equipment in compliance with Industry Standards.
- Teach and/or facilitate all ISCO fusion equipment training both in lecture presentations and hands-on with equipment or virtually as a live class presenting via camera on a laptop.
- Training to be conducted at our facilities and/or at customer locations throughout Canada.
- Maintain a working and knowledge of the applicable industry standards that reference HDPE fusion requirements such as CSA, ASTM and others.
- Assist with the regular maintenance of training content to insure it is current and correct
- Promote safety, practice safe work habits and comply with safety policies at all times.
- Maintain continuing knowledge of and familiarity with computer software and upgrades utilizing Company provided training or through continued education courses offered by schools or organizations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

**Specific Accountabilities**
- Evaluate and test trainees on comprehension of material and ability to perform a Heat Fusion
- Assist where required in development of new training programs
- Assist where required in development of new training material and aids for all new programs, consistent with established standards
- Maintain a clean and organized training atmosphere
- Complete and submit trainee training documentation as outlined in ISCO’s policies and procedures

**Education & Work Experience**
- High School Diploma/GED.
- A degree, certificate, or other credential from an industry, trade, or technical school is beneficial.
- Specialized industry-related training courses will also be considered beneficial.
- Have a minimum of three years of experience in operating and maintaining the fusion equipment required and fusing to an approved heat fusion procedure or standard.
- Have 5 years of technical experience or a four-year college degree.
- Have specific knowledge on the inspection of the heat fusion joints both visually and using the data recording device information on hydraulic fusion machines in accordance with Industry Standards.
- Have specific knowledge on the different types of destructive test methods to test the integrity of the heat fusion joints.
- Practical experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems preferred.
- Previous work experience of at least 3 years in the operation of powered industrial equipment. Prior training experience of at least two (2) year.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrable experience with public speaking or training either in-house or outside.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
- Ability and willingness to travel on commercial flights as needed to provide training, product support, etc.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and extra time as-needed basis (involving extra hours during the week, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays and Holidays).
