**Mission**
This includes, but not limited to managing the coordination of all matters relating to procurement plans for fleet replacement and expansion, project plans and project management activities.
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Align with internal non-revenue to ensure repairs and maintenance for units
- Maintain all vehicle information and inspection records alongside internal stakeholders
- Analyze fleet performance data and improve accordingly
- Report fleet performance and finances (e.g. budget forecast) to upper management
- Prepare / assist with presentations reports for the larger group to justify decisions
- Assist in decision making alongside Operations & Infrastructure Procurement of vehicles, whether through lease, purchase, or other means, according to company requirements
- Develop the Operations & Infrastructure Policy related to oversight and procurement for the Operations & Infrastructure various groups revenue fleet’s internal departments procedures
- Develop the Financial Strategy and establish the Finance related task structure
- Establish KPI’s for fleet’s performance and expenses
- Establish vehicle performance monitoring, record keeping, and improvements alongside internal stakeholders outside of the Operations & Infrastructure group
- Develop a budget plan for 5 year & 10 year outlooks of fleet purchases
- Establish budget analysis tools for oversight of all fleet operations
**Profile**
- Extensive knowledge in fleet management theory and practices, including fleet safety, administration and procurement experience
- Knowledge of project management concepts and practices
- Ability to coordinate and carry-out complex projects
- Sound judgement supported by excellent critical-thinking, analytical and problem solving skills relevant to coordinating a large fleet and related matters in a maintenance or industrial environment
- Comprehensive understanding of fleet operations as it pertains to track level activities and/or surface operations
- Well-developed leadership, networking and relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to liaise and influence all levels of the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentation skills
- Strong program development and organizational skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including those impacting labour, safety and environmental issues
- An understanding of process engineering
- Familiarity with basic budgetary principles
- Adaptable to changing conditions
- Proven ability to prioritize, manage time effectively and efficiently and work well under pressure
- Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees
- Completion of a university degree in a relevant field or the equivalent, combined with extensive fleet management experience
