**All about the role**
The Head of Human Resources, Canada (Head of HR) is a key member of the Senior Leadership team in Canada and provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the Skip LeadershipTeam. In addition, the Head of HR provides leadership and oversight to all HR teams based in Canada. Reporting operationally into the CEO of Skip, and functionally into the Global HR Organization based in Amsterdam, NL. The Head of HR - Canada, is responsible for providing strategic insight into Skip's organizational strategy and then translating this to a Canadian HR strategy that drives profitability and the realization of the long-term goals of the Canadian business while aligning to the global vision.
The Head of HR leads a local team of HR Business Partners and is the dotted line manager of the HR Shared Services and HRIS teams and the locally based representatives of our global COEs (Talent Management, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Facilities) in support of the Canadian business objectives. As the most senior HR leader in Canada, the Head of HR ensures implementation and realization of HR policies and leads the HR team while providing mentorship, coaching and functional guidance.
**What's on your Plate**:
- Collaborates with Skip's executive leadership to define (Establish, Implement, & Communicate) the organization's long-term vision and strategy.
- Continues to lead, develop, and support an exciting and dynamic environment focused on effectiveness and efficiency within a creative, high performing culture.
- Develops and leads the execution of Canada's strategic HR plan in support of the organization's short and long term goals.
- Manages performance in line with key group performance indicators for the organization's human resources function reporting to her/him/them and assesses the function's success based on these metrics.
- Manages and influences a complex organizational environment (local v global, internal v external, business v functional) and knows how and when to influence.
- Developing the strategy in leading all organizational change activities (including integration activities related to M&A) for the Canadian based organizations.
- Develops, manages and monitors the HR & Facilities teams based in Canada.
- Participates in the annual global HR budgeting process and manages the Canadian HR budget.
- Evaluates (work) processes across all HR disciplines and implement process improvements necessary.
- Leads Canadian cultural integration, evolution and Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging efforts in concert with the Group Human Resources team based in Amsterdam.

**Education and Experience**:
- 15+ years of Human Resources experience, including 3+ years experience in a senior HR position working with an executive business leadership team, 7+ years of managerial experience, managing large teams, with a broad exposure to multiple HR disciplines and/or an HR Generalist role
- A masters degree, preferably in Business Administration or Human Resources - an asset.
- A proven ability to build relationship and influence across all levels, working within teams and individually at both the country and global level
- Experience working in an international, high growth organization
- Experience managing, either directly or indirectly, an HR Operations and System organization
- Experience as a coach to executive-level leadership
