**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise other employees and/or contractors on mechanical jobs that could be a part of Preventative or Corrective Maintenance Plan
- Follow PM schedule, routine field inspection of all equipment, complete daily site walk to ensure equipment visual health, completing routine greasing and oil top up runs, and filling completed preventive maintenance work requisition/ Job Order completion on the computer maintenance management system.
- Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pumps, blowers, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Participate troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Support in Spare parts inventory and updating CMMS system on site with Global Operation help and supervision.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Identify Spare parts, and consumables procurement need.
- Always maintain accurate and auditable work and process records by means of completed Work Orders and Lock-Out Tag-Out forms and other associated forms such as Job Hazard Assessment form.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts.
- Informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Follow all safety SOPs and support in fabrication of temp lines, pipes, patchwork, weld / grinding or cutting work on site.
- Ensure all calibration records for crane, lifting devices etc. are always up to date.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment
- Responsible for training/inducting junior staff and new recruits and overseeing apprentices

**Job Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**
- Relevant trades certification and/or significant industrial training in a relevant technical field required.
- Proven experience working in one of the following industries: Solid Waste / Wastewater / Biogas / Power Generation
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in a similar role

**Skills**
- Excellent interpersonal communication and cross-functional team management skills
- Ability to coordinate staff and contractor efforts to solve problems and optimize plant operation
- Ability to develop and implement best practices and work instructions utilizing vendor manuals, instructions and industry knowledge
- Ability to administer company policies and procedures and maintain a strong culture of operational discipline
- Ability to maintain and promote safe work site for employees, contractors, vendors and visitors
- Ability to operate facility in compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and permits
- Skilled in understanding technical drawings, documents, specifications such as mechanical drawings, Process Drawings and interpreting manuals
- Ability to work with and maintain a computerized maintenance management system for the facility
- Ability to develop, implement and deploy maintenance practices that ensure optimal facility availability and reliability
- Ensure the safety by complying to Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Standards, Ministry of Labour Regulations and company health, Safety and Environmental policies.

**Physical Requirements and Working Conditions**
- Must be able to walk the site to diagnose issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
- Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
