**Job description**:
Predictive Success Corporation has been retained by our client on the recruitment of their newest Broiler Farm Lead. The Farm is looking for a Broiler Farm Lead to head a team of Farm Support workers to ensure efficient and effective farm operation and production in accordance with high quality standards. The Farm Lead plays a critical role in developing a positive, high achieving team in an environment where each employee feels valued and supported. The Farm Lead will be part of weekly meetings to discuss farm operations and direction, with opportunities to grow in an expanding company.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Leads a team to ensure broiler chickens are well cared for and their needs are met
- Observes and adjusts water lines, feed lines, air inlets, fans, lights, litter conditions, general environment as required
- Enforces company policies, procedures and high environmental and biosecurity standards to ensure the birds are kept in excellent health
- Ensures Farm Support team conducts work safely and follows health and safety policies and procedures, documenting and reporting deviations as appropriate
- Provides support, coaching and guidance to Farm Support team, enabling the achievement of production and performance targets
- Documents, manages and reports accurate data
- Documents bird conditions and consumptions, daily temperatures, mortalities, sharing these findings, deviations or abnormalities with leadership
- Trouble shoots any deviations from norm and corrects
- Maintains logs and documents for OFFSAP/ audits
- Provides general maintenance of farm equipment and machinery, light and fan systems, proactively repairing as appropriate (e.g., may include ordering parts, arranging repairs by contacting technicians or repairing on own)
- Conducts inventory checks and verifies sufficient resources available for farm site
- Ensure farm is clean, operational and productive
- Removes manure from barns
- Disinfects
- Implements bug and pest control
- Walks barns for mortality and drives skid steers to remove carcasses
- Pressure washes inside of the barns
- Provides general farm site lawn / land care (e.g. mow lawn, spray weeds, plow snow in the winter)

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES**
- Bachelor’s degree, college degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
- 3 years + of experience working in a farm support capacity
- 1 year + working as a supervisor / manager of teams
- Absolutely must understand and carry out biosecurity and be willing to sign off that they have no contact with poultry / birds offsite or waterfowl of any kind. Zero tolerance for by-passing biosecurity measures. Must notify owner of any deviation.
- Drivers license
- Excellent oral communication
- Proactive drive, strong ability to identify solutions for challenges and create an action plan
- Strong ability to set direction and influence team members to deliver against targets
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
- Ability to work within established standards, policies and procedures, ensuring quality standards are met

Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour
