Viet House Restaurant is looking for an energetic food preparation worker to assist our kitchen staff. We’re excited to bring on a new member that is passionate in the hospitality industry in order to build a regular customer base and help grow our exciting atmosphere

Employees will be responsible for prepping food and other kitchen tasks.

Duties include:

- Working effectively with kitchen staff to ensure food is served correctly and safely.
- Being able to work in a very fast-paced environment
- Memorizing menu items
- Preparing ingredients following recipes and guidelines for dishes.
- Preparing workstation with required ingredients and equipment, and keeping station sanitary and organized throughout the shift.
- Ensure ingredients are stored and rotated effectively.
- Restocking ingredients and items in a timely fashion.
- Packing orders, ensuring food is bagged precisely and accurate for take-out or delivery.

Job Requirements:

- High School Diploma
- Any kitchen experience (preferred)
- Understanding of food preparation fundamentals, as well as allergies and food-borne illnesses
- Communication skills; as well as the ability to learn quickly and follow instructions/recipes
- Knife handling skills (preferred)
