**About this Opportunity**:
As a valued team member, you will work alongside your colleagues to bring civil, marine and commercial development plans to reality. You will directly report to your assigned supervisor who will instruct you on your daily tasks. As an AZ Operator with Doornekamp you will work with a variety of heavy equipment and licenced highway tractors and trailers. You will support land and marine based construction projects and aggregate production on various job sites routinely. The versatility between heavy equipment and highway tractors will allow for new challenges everyday
**Responsibilities, but not limited to**:
- Safely operate a variety of company vehicles and equipment, ensuring the accurate removal, placement and delivery of materials and equipment as directed with attention to surroundings and co-workers at all times.
- Safely securing, loading, offloading and transporting all goods, materials, containers and equipment from sites, vehicles, machinery, equipment and vessels.
- Perform required pre and post operational vehicle inspections with the ability to submit electronically and/or manually, noting and reporting any deficiencies and damages.
- General knowledge of Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations as applicable to Ontario and currently held licensing.
- Changing attachments, making required adjustments, verifying proper installation and troubleshooting experienced issues
- Responsible for keeping interior and exterior of used vehicles and equipment clean including tracks where applicable.
- Report and record any and all safety, mechanical and maintenance deficiencies.
- Maintain electronic and manual log including kilometers travelled.
- Provide strong customer service while maintaining professionalism.
- Perform related responsibilities and special projects as required or assigned.
- Abides by all health and safety programs and regulations
- Reports any observed or potential hazards immediately to their supervisor
**Qualifications/Experience**:
- High school diploma
- AZ license.
- Clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract.
- Successful completion of accredited/certified equipment operator program
- Provable Heavy Equipment Operating Experience (Loaders & Excavators preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years AZ experience.
- General knowledge of Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations as applicable to Ontario and currently held licensing.
- Demonstrate ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job:
- Effective communication and listening skills.
- Effective time management skills allowing for efficient production.
