With a strong order book, we are seeking to recruit Production Assistants to work as part of our Casting team with key responsibilities for the production and delivery of high-quality products and services to customers. Key tasks include:
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Operating machinery including overhead cranes, forklifts, saws and other required equipment following training provided
- Undertaking melter duties in a safe and controlled way
- Calculating and measuring raw ingredients in line with product specifications
- Working closely with team members in ensuring the safe, timely production and delivery of goods to other departments and customers
- Performing necessary quality checks in line with quality standards
- Supporting management in helping to trouble shoot problems and propose solutions to issues as these arise
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives with the aim of helping to raise performance and standards within the department
- Contribute to team meetings and daily handover briefings to ensure key priorities are understood and actioned accordingly

Our Shift Pattern:

- We are a 24/7 operation, 12 hour rotating continental shift pattern
- Start time are always 6.50 - 6.50
- Week 1: Mon, Tues day shift; Wed, Thurs off; Fri, Sat, Sun night shift

Week 2: Mon, Tues off; Wed, Thurs day shift; Fri, Sat, Sun off
- Employees work only 2 weekends per month, 7 days of work over a 2 week period
