We are looking to hire a full-time Purchaser at our 1725 Sargent Avenue location

**OVEVIEW OF POSITION**

The Purchaser will manage the processes of planning, purchasing and the scheduling of Janitorial and Sanitation products.

To be succesful in this role, you will need to have the ability to develop strong vendor partnerships and negotiate effectively with suppliers on product costs, lead time and quality issues. You will need strong skills to execute procurement strategy and manage warehouse Inventory.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Purchasing principles and practices
- The procurement of all raw material and components from assigned suppliers on behalf of the AGF.
- The procurement of assigned MRO items.
- Meet and maintain minimum inventory levels as set by management.
- Provide direction to Suppliers and release of materials required to support ongoing production.
- Have experience dealing with both North American / foreign based supply chain channels.
- Obtain the required USMCA Certificates annually from the suppliers in order to preserve the USMCA duty rates.
- Good understanding of duties, brokerage, and logístical channels
- Interface with production, customer service, production scheduling, other buyer’s and receiving to support production and to avoid line shortages or missed shipments to customers
- Expedite required materials to support ongoing production.
- Monitor and analyze vendor costs, lead times, and delivery performance.
- Process Spot Buy and Blanket Purchase orders as per the Purchase Requisition Procedure.
- Ensure that accurate and timely information is provided to both Vendors and the Senior Management Team.
- Assure that all Logistics Purchasing Procedures are strictly observed.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3+ year’s supply chain management experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal with the ability to persuade others, listening, and customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with and work well with others in order to manage projects, meetings, meet vendor needs, etc.
- Embodies strong traits such as decision-making, problem solving and possessing good judgment.
- Ability to project a calm and professional demeanor regardless of the type of environment (calm or fast paced) or type of clientele.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a high consideration to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Driven and highly self-motivated.
- Strong industry knowledge preferred.
- Adept at time management and able to work with finite deadlines.
- The ability to work independently as well as in a group environment.
- Trustworthy, honest, respectful, and flexible.
- Must be able to be entrusted with confidential information.
- Valid driver’s license and Passport for International travel.

**WORK SHEDULE**

Schedule is M - F 8:00am - 4:30pm. Schedule may vary based on business demands and will require a combination of office hours as well as work performed after hours and/or weekends due to location of suppliers.
