**QA /QC Technician**

Red Truck Beer Company is seeking a QA/QC Laboratory Technician to continue growing our brands in Vancouver’s craft beer community.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Be accountable for executing and reporting on the brewing, packaging and Ready to Drink operations Quality plan and all associated tasks:
Physical Analysis and Wet Chemistry:

- Perform essential packaging analysis
- Perform essential chemical analysis on in-process and finished product
- Perform materials analysis

Microbiology Program:

- Microbiological analysis on in-process and finished goods using PCR and traditional plating techniques
- Conduct aseptic and environmental sampling throughout the brewery
- Ensure calibrations and cleanliness of lab equipment

Sensory Program:

- Responsible for go/no-go daily release and expert taste panel
- Manage the sensory analysis program for raw materials, water, fresh product and long term flavor stability

General Duties
- Information management: Manage QC data in ERP software, maintain accurate and detailed records
- Maintain inventory of lab equipment and supplies
- Be a resource for brewers and packaging team; contribute to improvement initiatives
- Adhere to all SOPs and safety standards
- Positively represent Red Truck Beer Company, both internally and externally
- Maintain a clean lab
- Other tasks as needed

This is a **Full-Time, Salaried** position. Salary based on experience and qualifications, including health benefits.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- 1 - 2 years experience, brewery experience preferred
- Post secondary education required: Food Science, Biology/Microbiology, Chemistry or a related field
- Demonstrated lab skills and techniques
- Basic computer skills, experience with ERP software preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask and manage time while being detail oriented
- Passion for craft beer and brewing industry; interest in learning about beer and the brewing process

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
