**Job Title**: Certified Yoga Instructor

**Location**: 275 Hanlon Creek Boulevard Unit 4, Guelph, Ontario, Canada

**Job Type**: Part-Time with potential for Full-Time

At Afro Puppy Yoga, we blend the calming practice of yoga with the joyful presence of puppies to create a truly unique and therapeutic experience. Our studio is dedicated to promoting wellness and mindfulness in a fun, engaging environment with a theme of African culture. We are currently seeking a passionate and energetic Yoga Instructor to join our team and help our clients achieve balance and peace through yoga. We are a start up business that will be offering opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct and lead yoga sessions in a clear and engaging manner.
- Create a welcoming and supportive environment for practitioners of all levels.
- Adapt sessions according to the needs of participants and ensure safety practices are followed.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of the yoga space.
- Participate in special events and workshops hosted by the studio.
- Collaborate with other staff to enhance the studio's offerings and client experience.
- Provide classes that are mindful of the inclusion of puppies in the experience and plan for a level of puppy interaction.
- Design classes that include African beats.

**Qualifications**:

- Must hold a minimum of RYT-200 certification from a recognized yoga alliance.
- At least 2 years of experience teaching yoga.
- Experience with multiple yoga styles, such as Vinyasa, Hatha, or Ashtanga, is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of clients.
- First Aid and CPR certifications are highly desirable.

**Skills**:

- Strong understanding of yoga principles and practice.
- Skilled in creating a serene and therapeutic class atmosphere.
- Ability to manage class flow and handle a group of diverse participants.
- Enthusiastic about working with puppies.
- Ability to adapt to different class sizes and student skill levels.

- Competitive pay rate commensurate with experience.
- Classes will be offered at one hour intervals and include 40 minutes of yoga followed by 20 minutes of puppy play time.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
