The opportunity

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountability #1 - Financial leadership- Assists in managing defined objectives to reduce overall software spend profile long term by identifying and realizing software synergies within IS and Application Services.- Maintains and support periodic reporting on various project/operational budget initiatives.- Assists to manage the delivery of various projects ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of quality work that meets client requirements and expectations

Accountability #2 - Service Delivery- Manages the delivery and support of CWB’s digital technologies ensuring they meet and align to business strategy, outcomes, and timelines. This is including but not limited to: online banking, all online account opening, as well as leveraging integration capabilities within all digital vendor partners and potential future financial technology companies.-
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.- Responsible to ensure design and implementation, and sustainment of a governance practice for Mulesoft API management solutions with an eye for reuse and long-term scalability.- Partners with business leadership in understanding the changing dynamics of customer needs, related to digital strategy, business roadmaps, and being able to translate that understanding in identifying specific technical requirements that will address the organizational and business needs.- Manages production issues, including completing root-cause analysis and diagnosis.- Translates product requirements into work items for the technical team- Builds the digital technical roadmap. Provides a strong voice on the product roadmap.- s guidance to the team and ensure they adhere to development standards- Ensures proper documentation- Ensures code is reviewed, reusable and testable, meeting architectural-design and customer requirements; accountable for overall code quality.- Recommends or automates approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes and/or systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.- Provides input to leaders in order to keep executive and key stakeholders informed of applicable project status and other key deliverables. Periodic presentation to senior leaders will be required.- Responsible for maturing a Change Management strategy in partnership with organizational resources for the technical aspects of the digital platform across CWB Financial Group- Executes strategies to ensure the ongoing reliability, scalability, and effectiveness of digital integrations and interfaces with all strategic digital partners and third parties.- Aligns technical team members to ensure digital solutions meet operational technical metrics and KPI’s for all newly developed digital solutions. This includes defining and meeting targets for performance, availability, and reliability metrics as agreed on with business stakeholder.- Maintains alignment with business stakeholders and technology teams on ensuring digital platform controls for fraud, regulatory, AML compliance, and security controls are met.-
Accountability # 3 - People Leadership- Oversee and direct the daily activities of employees that manage technological elements within the department.-
- Manages the hire, training and performance of team members- Sources and manages external contractors assigned to complete scope related to capital projects- Manages vendor relationships ensuring contracted outcomes align to organizational objectives
