Our company is seeking **Groundskeeper & Property Maintenance Personnel** with a valid B.C. Drivers’ License (company vehicle provided), and a clean driving record.

Reporting to the Operations Manager at a Downtown Vancouver location, the employee will assist with performing **general grounskeeping**, **light maintenance tasks**, and **running various errands as the need arises** at 2 businesses and up to 3 residential properties in the Metro Vancouver area.

Although this is not a trades position, experience in any trade is an asset (employer would provide any necessary tools and equipment).

Pay rate is starting at $25 / hour, based on experience and skill set.

Work hours would be daytime on weekdays, however the occasional weekend daytime day may be required.

The position is best suited to someone who has relatively quick and easy access to Downtown Vancouver on the weekdays, and is looking for a Monday to Friday daytime schedule.

**EXAMPLES OF DUTIES**:

- Simple groundskeeping, i.e. yard cleaning; weeding; pruning, etc. (Approximately 60-70% of a typical work day would involve grounskeeping duties at the residential properties);
- Running various errands (deliveries, moving furniture and / or equipment as examples);
- Putting garbage & recycling out weekly and brining bins back in;
- Some general handyman / fix-it type work;
- General building upkeep;
- Some assistance with occasional minor carpentry, electrical and plumbing projects may be required, therefore some general knowledge / minor experience in these areas is an asset.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
For this position, we require someone who:

- Is knowledgeable with grounskeeping and groundskeeping equipment;
- Has experience providing _basic_ maintenance / handyman-type support in business, commercial, and residences;
- Is attentive, proactive, reliable and efficient;
- Is a good listener and is good at taking directions;
- Behaves in a respectful, confidential matter when on site at the properties;
- Has a friendly personality and good communication skills;
- Is capable of identifying issues and finding solutions;
- Is able to work well without supervision;
- Is able to communicate fluently in the English language;
**-Has a B.C. Drivers’ License with a clean driving record** (a driver’s abstract will be required);
- Is legally entitled to work in Canada;
