Toronto, Canada Jack.org Full time

**Manager, Video Production**.**

At Jack.org, this is what we do.

At Jack.org, we work alongside a national network of young leaders to create communities that support youth mental health. Our network of 3,000 (and counting) young people across Canada are as busy as ever, and our staff of 90 humans and 3 dogs are working just as hard.

Over the past few years, Jack.org’s work has grown substantially in response to the global crisis. Now more than ever, we must reach and support young people's mental health across Canada. And we are in a strong position to do so: we have committed donors, a financial reserve, new leadership and a high-performing team eager to tackle the challenges in front of us and continue our exceptional growth.

**The position**:
The person in this role will also manage creative content practices and continuously improve upon processes to weave efficiency, transparency and clarity into your collaboration with different stakeholders. In addition to developing video content that resonates with youth, this role will drive the creation of video marketing assets to expand our reach to youth and donors across Canada.

You’ll be joining a collaborative team of other designers, storytellers, mental health advocates, and creative marketers to build the Jack.org brand and impact youth everywhere.

The responsibilities of the position will include:
**Production (35%)**
- Managing the production and delivery of video content for Jack.org from start to finish, specifically:

- promotional videos (35%) to drive brand awareness, fundraising and program engagement
- Crafting briefs based on the objectives set out by the Programs, Marketing & Communications, and Development teams.
- Optimizing content, storytelling methods and formats to ensure the organization is best positioned to connect with and educate youth, as well as achieve funding, fundraising, and partnership objectives.
- Leading the vision and story development for video projects that seek to educate and connect with audiences
- Run creative brainstorms for new brand video content opportunities, providing leadership on video and content production across the organization
- Ensuring Jack.org video content and brand appeal is a leader in the not-for-profit space and beyond by continually improving video content practices and strategizing from insights to ensure performance and audience connection.
- Support production of experiential and live events, including Jack Rides, through coordination with vendors and designers.

**Post-Production (45%)**
- Editing videos in Adobe Premiere for a range of environments including social channels, program settings (e.g., schools & community centers), and paid media opportunities.
- Exercising editorial judgment with visual and sound selections, showing a good eye/ear for the highest quality content.
- Be accountable for all content quality and brand standards, including by providing oversight of videos produced by external collaborators.
- Ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of video content for campaigns.

**Vendor & stakeholder management (20%)**
- Serving as the point of contact for internal production requests and collaborating with teams on their content and marketing campaigns.
- Working with the Programs team to identify, source, find, assess and capture stories from Jack.org’s youth network and beyond, as needed to build out compelling educational content.
- Focusing and committing to managing meaningful relationships with an expanding network of youth storytellers.
- Managing a roster of freelancers and agencies to support production needs.
- Leading external vendors through projects ensuring everyone delivers on their responsibilities in a timely manner and to the highest of standards.
- Ensuring an effective planning and briefing process, so that agencies are able to effectively deliver the organisational objectives. This includes ensuring effective processes for briefing, production planning and management, resourcing, scheduling, quality control, reviews and sign-off, and asset delivery.

**We’re looking for**:

- A strong portfolio or reel showing your experience in video content production / management, service operations, project management, and/or editorial background.
- A self-sufficient and detail-oriented Project Management mindset for production processes and coordination. You pride yourself in checking for quality in every regard before it goes out.
- Passionate about telling stories through educational content, as well as through marketing to drive awareness and action.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in video production, creative arts, journalism or marketing.
- Professional working proficiency in French is a strong asset.
- Experience with Adobe Premiere, Soundstripe, Envato, Storyblocks and Typeform is an asset
- A deep knowledge of all video/content platforms and the best ways to leverage each one when connecting with our audiences is an asset.
