BD Diesel is looking for a mechanically minded individual to join our growing team. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and takes daily directions from the Safety & Maintenance Coordinator. This role requires ability to handle high volume repetitive tasks, cleaning, working alone unattended as well as in a team and the ability to manage their time well. They have to be a good team player.

- Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

As our **Building Maintenance Technician**, your role includes:

- Daily cleaning and sanitizing to support the Communicable Disease Prevention Plan
- Maintaining cleanliness for each production department
- Sweep floors and remove garbage
- Cardboard removal and compactor maintenance
- Pallet removal and recycling
- Installation of safety equipment
- Yard clean up
- Scrap metal removal and recycling
- Helping the team achieve daily goals and targets
- Ensuring the work environment is clean and clear of any obstacles
- Demonstrating respect, honesty, trustworthiness, and team player characteristics
- Proficiency in all four English language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Basic use of tools
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding and experience using a PC and Tablet
- Class 1 Counterbalanced Forklift - Operator Certificate (we can train)
- Class 3 Power Pallet Jack - Operator Certificate (we can train)
- Work Assist Vehicle (WAV) - Operator Certificate (we can train)
- _Preferred: One year of general maintenance experience_
