**Bureau Veritas Montreal is looking for a Laboratory Manager to join our environmental laboratory in Ste-Foy, QC**

**Your main responsibilities are**:

- Provide technical expertise to laboratory staff;
- Problem-solve solutions (technical, financial and human) in order to make the company more effective and competitive;
- Develop and nurture ongoing relationship with Customer Service and its customers - work to anticipate their needs and how best Bureau Veritas can meet and exceed their expectations;
- Act as a positive change agent in supporting Bureau Veritas new initiatives (operational and cultural);
- Provide a sage and healthy environment for staff and customers - ensure that required training is available and certificates up-to-date;
- Develop and defend section's operating and capital budget;
- Track and justify expenditures - creates ways to optimize financial resources;
- Develop a strong and supportive relations with the General Manager - submit regular reports and suggestions for improvement on strategic and operational issues/concerns;
- Develop and nurture strong communication channels with peers in the regions and corporate partners;
- Ensure adherence to Bureau Veritas policies, ISO certification and Partners in Safety membership;
- Ensure adherence to Bureau Veritas health and safety policies and practices.
- Have a B. Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent;
- Have 6 to 8 years of experience in laboratory environment of which 4 at a leadership level;
- Have excellent up-to-date knowledge of laboratory process and automation;
- Are fully bilingual (English/French);
- Have skills in customer service, mentoring, coaching, open communication, analytical, presentation, and overall highly-developed leadership skills; Are dynamic, energetic and motivated.
