**Job Overview**
We are a private practice in West Vancouver serving children 3-18 years old and their families. Skilled Kids has been providing private paediatric occupational therapy services to Vancouver, the lower mainland, North/West Vancouver, Squamish, and Whistler since 2008. We value evidence-based practice and focus on a collaborative family-centered approach in our goal to empower families that we work with. We are looking for a high energy rehabilitation assistant to join our team As a rehabilitation assistant, you will play an integral role in providing therapy to children with varying diagnosis including: ASD, ADHD, CP, and DCD under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist. Training is provided but a background in kinesiology or experience working with autistic children would be an asset.
**Responsibilities**
- Deliver play-based intervention programs developed by registered occupational therapist
- Collaborate with registered occupational therapist on the modification of OT intervention programs to fit the needs and interests of clients
- Communicate progress and act as a liaison between occupational therapist and families
- Plan and prepare for in clinic sessions independently following training from OT
- Document client's progress on a weekly/biweekly basis through detailed chart notes
**Experience/Qualifications**
- Experience in working/volunteering in a public or private pediatric setting
- Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, CP is an asset
- Coursework or degree relating to anatomy, physiology, exercise training, or kinesiology an asset
- Valid BC Drivers License and access to a vehicle an asset
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 15 per week
