**Overview**
We are a forward-thinking pet care and insurance startup developing a next-generation platform that integrates veterinary booking systems, digital health tools, and blockchain-enabled reward features. As we scale our vision, we’re seeking a technically inclined Junior Veterinary Technician ready to grow into a Director-level role.
- A licensed or certified Veterinary Technician with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in clinical settings
- An excellent communicator and collaborator who values accountability, integrity, and long-term commitment
- Interested in the intersection of veterinary care, blockchain, and consumer technology
- Financially organized and prepared to take on corporate director responsibilities, including governance, compliance, and strategic planning (a well-rounded personal and professional profile is essential)

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the design and integration of vet clinic workflows, booking systems, and user interfaces
- Serve as a liaison between the tech team and veterinary partners, providing real-world feedback and insights
- Contribute to product development meetings with a director-level perspective on user experience and ethical care
- Uphold company policies, compliance standards, and participate in high-level strategic discussions
- Potentially join the board as a formal director, pending due diligence and fit

**Duties**
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work and X-rays.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide proper animal restraint and handling techniques for various species.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Monitor animal vital signs and behavior during procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including the use of aseptic techniques.
- Support kennel operations, including feeding, grooming, and exercising animals.

**Skills**
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal physiology.
- Experience in animal husbandry and critical care.
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary medicine.
- Knowledge of dental terminology related to animal care.
- Familiarity with dog handling techniques and training methods.
- Experience with animal catheterization and restraint methods.
- Ability to perform basic grooming tasks for various breeds.
- Understanding of equine care practices is a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $4,733.71-$6,981.92 per month
