**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The Director of Food & Beverage is a corporate position, providing direction, support and guidance to all Food & Beverage operations. We are a growing organization, and the Director of Food & Beverage is instrumental in training and development, ensuring all brand standards and safety protocols are upheld within the F&B division.

Healthy eating revolves around making smarter choices that are sustainable and tailored to individual needs, influenced by science, and an increasing awareness of the impact of food on personal health and the planet.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The Food & Beverage Director will be responsible for the following:
**Business Development**:
- Identify and drive new business opportunities for both the company and each location that increase brand awareness.
- Ensure our F&B operations compliment the individual locations, adding to our guest experience.
- Collaborate with the teams to develop promotions and events that drive sales and enhance guest experience.
- Regular on-site visits to understand each market and operation.
- Actively participate in the onboarding of new properties, being part of the implementation team.
- Assist the Marketing team develop branding and marketing strategies to promote our offerings.
- Actively participate in the development of franchise operations, ensuring all F&B standard operating procedures are in place, and successfully implementing new locations to the brand.
- Collaborate with our President on business opportunities both within and outside of the hotels.
**Financial Responsibilities**:
- Continually seek for ways to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Monitor revenues, labour costs, and food costs on a regular basis and respond quickly when off track.
- Utilize operating tools and systems for standardized budgeting, food cost calculations, portioning, recipes, etc.
- Regular internal auditing to ensure compliance with all standards, inspections, and licencing requirements.
- Manage group purchasing and supplier relationships/negotiations to optimize costs and quality.
- Be a resource for equipment, fixtures and furniture servicing and replacement.
- Prevent loss of equipment and assets by developing and enforcing controls. This includes a preventative maintenance program for all culinary and front of house equipment.
**Culinary**:
- Collaborate with and provide support to our Chefs on menu development and pricing.
- Drive culinary innovation, motivating our Chefs to keep our menus fresh and exciting.
- Promote community involvement and sustainability through Farm to Table initiatives.
- Review food cost strategies, inventory best practices, and labour cost strategies with the culinary teams ensuring each location is prospering.
**Service**:
- Collaborate with our F&B Managers to ensure service standards are being met.
- Drive service initiatives to engage with our clientele and promote repeat visits.
- Guide Managers in service recovery techniques and best practices.
- Training of leadership and service staff on sales techniques.
- Promote creativity in liquor service.
- Monitor guest feedback and leverage staff insights to improve guest experiences.
