MasTec Canada is currently recruiting a Project Junior HSE Advisor to join its Industrial Division in support of building a compression station **_near Lac la Biche, Alberta_**. **_This is a two (2) month site based role_** **_on a rotation schedule with an immediate start._**
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:
- Conduct on site general field inspections
- Documentation scanning
- Collection of safety paperwork and uploading into database
- Provide coverage as required
- Other duties as assigned
**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:
- Minimum 2 years safety representative experience
- Minimum National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation
- Experience working with industrial construction/maintenance in the Facility and/or Mechanical industry is an asset
- Experience working with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada’s 6 Core Values
- **_Valid Class 5 driver’s license and current clean drivers abstract (5 years) is required_**:
- Valid Safety Tickets (H2S, First Aid, CSO)
- Fall Arrest and Confined Space are an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ambitious, high-energy with positive attitude
- Proficient analytical and investigative abilities are complemented by exceptional organization and communication skills
