**Shift**:8 and 12 hour shifts, Days/Evenings/Nights/Weekends

**New Graduate Guarantee (NGG) - Registered Practical Nurses (RPN)
The Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG) program is funded by the ministry and supports new Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) who have registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) within the past twelve (12) months, by providing them with a temporary full-time employment opportunity, above staffing complement, to improve their transition into practice, and into full-time employment.

**The NGG program aims to**:

- Support new nurses in Ontario as they transition into practice;
- Improve the integration of new nurses into the workforce;
- Promote the availability of full-time employment or the equivalent of full-time hours for new nurses; and
- Promote health workforce planning at the organizational level.

**What you can expect**:

- RPN's successfully hired into the NGG program with Grand River Hospital can expect to be provided with a 12 week transition into practice period in a clinical setting
- Your 12 week transition into practice period will be in a supernumerary position (above staffing complement) and will be designed to build on your prior education and experience in a clinical setting
- You will be matched with a mentor(s) who is available to work with you to support your professional growth and learning objectives

Participation in the NGG program is open to nurses who have registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) within the past twelve (12) months:
**Canadian educated nurses who**:

- Graduated with a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a diploma from a practical nursing program in Canada;
- Match with an employer on the NGG online portal within 12 months of registering with the CNO; and
- Commit to accepting full-time employment or the equivalent of full-time hours with their NGG employer after completing the NGG program transition into practice period

**Internationally educated nurses (IENs) who**:

- Completed their nursing education outside of Canada;
- Match with an employer on the NGG online portal within 12 months of registering with the CNO; and
- Commit to accepting full-time employment or the equivalent of full-time hours with their NGG employer after completing the NGG program transition into practice period.
