Junior Carpenter

We’re looking for a motivated **full-time, permanent Junior/Apprentice Carpenter**to join our team located in Exshaw, Alberta, completing innovative timber-framed structures and products. The main responsibilities are to provide support to the team with hands-on carpentry support on residential and commercial projects in the field.

This role will involve travel in the Bow Valley and surrounding areas such as **Canmore, Banff, Cochrane, Calgary and more in Alberta.**

**Main Activities**
- Installation of shop-cut timber structures in the field
- Complete all carpentry tasks such as cutting, measuring, fastening, framing, and finishing of European & North American style timber frame structures and trusses
- Assembly trusses and TF components in the shop and on-site
- Laying out timber structures on site
- Complete all designs, layout and build timber stairs
- Ensure calculation of all requirements to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and executing hands-on work with tools
- Ensure the job site is maintained

**Experience & Qualifications**
- 3rd Year Apprentice carpenter is an asset
- Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter certification is an asset
- 2+ years of experience in construction is an asset
- Experience in timber framing and rigging is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints is an asset
- Telehandler, aerial work platform, first aid, WHIMIS and any other safety certification is an asset
- Ability to communicate well, problem solve and use critical thinking
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation required to site across Alberta

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
