The Canada Energy Regulator (CER) works to keep energy moving safely across the country. **Duties**:
Reporting to the Group Lead, Security, this position is responsible for assessing, documenting, implementing and maintaining security controls and providing advice related to security activities that are part of a coordinated Canada Energy Regulator (CER) security program, which include but are not limited to security screening, information technology (IT) security, physical security, business continuity management, information management security, security in contracts, security event management, and security awareness and training.

Experience:
E1 Experience working in policing and/or security including the RCMP, Canadian Military Police, Provincial and municipal police forces of various jurisdictions or Security Services in other Municipal, Provincial or Federal Government departments or agencies.
E2 Extensive* experience in providing briefings to government department officials and senior management.
E3 Extensive* experience in making timely, measured and effective risk-based decisions to resolve exigent public safety and/or security related issues.
E4 Experience in the development or delivery of a physical security program.
E5 Experience coordinating or conducting research including analyzing and documenting key findings in security risk assessment and incident reports.
E6 Experience in assessing or responding to real-time security related risks.
