Cinesite Vancouver is seeking Compositors to join our Feature Animation team, START NOW. Working under the direction of department leads and the supervisor, the compositor is responsible for supporting the lighting team with creating and supporting with the final comps. If you are excited about creative compositing, this could be a great role for you

**What you will be doing**
- Work with the Leads and senior artists to understand the look of individual sequences to achieve technical and artistic objectives while respecting the story
- Receive master shots for sequences and work with direction from the Lighting Lead to composite them
- Support lighting artists with technically and creatively challenging comp shots, in line with the technical and creative requirements of the project
- Harmonize the creative and technical aspects of each shot
- Ensure that shots meet the render requirements and are completed in a timely fashion
- Submit shots in dailies and work with the team to discuss and resolve issues pertaining to the shots

**What you bring to the team**
- An deep understanding of composting principles and practices, with a strong proficiency in Nuke
- Experience compositing full CG or animated shots
- An understanding of light, shading and colour
- An understanding of the style required for an animated movie
- Ability to work well within a team environment and take direction from Supervisors as appropriate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in lighting and rendering using Arnold or other similar renderer
