Our Ortec Environment Services branch in Sarnia, specializing in Industrial Cleaning, is recruiting for a Health & Safety Coordinator to support our location and in conjunction with the various jobs we do for our clients.

Reporting to the H&S Manager, your primary responsibilities and objectives will be:

  • Regularly visit (field) business locations as well as various construction sites. You will spend 70% of your working time in the field
  • Assist staff in identifying existing or potential risks and help them implement preventive or corrective measures;
  • Assist the team in the realization of various action plans
  • Participate in investigations and analysis of events, inspections and audits
  • Assist your hierarchy for HSE decisions and for the implementation of the resulting actions.

**Description du profil**

Do you have a degree in an appropriate discipline (H&S, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, etc.) with at least 3 years of experience in prevention, preferably in a unionized industrial environment?

Do you have a solid knowledge of current health and safety laws and regulations?

Do you have experience in field intervention?

You are dynamic, autonomous and persevering, with a strong sense of organization and team spirit?

Do you have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills?

You have a valid driver's license and are available to travel regularly between Hamilton and London and surrounding areas

You must have good computer skills, and English-French bilingualism can be an asset.
