Carleton Place Terrace is currently seeking part-time Dietary Servers with a caring heart. We will teach you our systems, programs and philosophy. However, we cannot teach compassion and empathy, so you will demonstrate those to us in an interview process.

**Job Requirements**:
Under the direction of the Food Services Coordinator or designate, the Dietary Server is responsible for making sure the dining room is clean prior to each meal. The Dietary Server will serve residents breakfast and lunch and reset the tables after each meal. They will also clean the dishes and put them away. The Server will be interacting with the residents, serving coffee/tea and taking meal orders.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Compassion, Common Sense and Empathy required
- Strong team orientation
- Demonstrates a positive, flexible work style and approach to the implementation of change
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to communicate in English (written, verbal, reading) to a minimum High School Level. French language skills are an asset.

- You must be able to work with dogs, cats and other animals
- Due to our high level of residents with dementia; your tattoos and piercings must either remained covered by clothing or are discrete. Any other external body decoration, including hair, must not be frightening to a frail senior with dementia.
- You must be legally allowed to work in Canada
- You must be in good physical health as this job requires lifting, sitting, standing and walking.

Must be available to work every second weekend.

**COVID conditions**:

- Should there be an outbreak, must be able to carry out their duties.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 0-30 per week

**Salary**: $15.82-$16.49 per hour
