Digital Content Producer

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Writing:

- Creative script writing for video projects in a variety of genres
- Researching data and background information for topics
- Attending client meetings to support project discovery
- Project coordination
- Participate in discovery calls, content planning meetings, and scheduling interviews
- Content writing - balancing the disciplines of both journalism and copywriting
- Collaborating with production teams to develop compelling narratives
- Editing, proofreading, and producing final production for grammar, spelling, style and alignment with brand guidelines and content calendar
- Completing projects under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy, and attention to detail
- Content Production / Project Leadership:

- Organize, develop and manage content calendars for assigned projects
- Creating outlines and synopses; and providing general direction for narrative that will be used by team of writers to develop content for our clients
- Shared responsibility for the quality and timeliness of production of video and multimedia content projects assigned
- Manage workflow through our online project management software to ensure that we are keeping to schedules, budget and quality of deliverables
- Manage external contractor relationships, tasks, and expenses, as required
- Mentorship
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders and team members in defining project scope and budget
- Provide training and support to team members on the writing team
- Help manage and balance teams daily workload on projects including evaluating needs and delegating tasks to team members based on capacity and skill. Assigning tasks to yourself where appropriate so that you don’t lose out on this creative outlet.
- Troubleshoot / problem solve project bottlenecks and scheduling conflicts.
- Shared responsibility to hold team accountable to maintaining quality and standards.
- Be an advocate for the bees in the hive by looking for ways to support your teammates by improving processes, culture, solutions, and value we provide to all stakeholders by sharing your insights, observations, and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications / Education**:

- Degree or diploma in Creative Communications / Broadcasting / Media Production / Communications / Video Production, or equivalent industry experience
- Client-facing / customer service
- 3+ years of previous experience in video production, television, documentaries or documentary series or equivalent
- 3+ years of project management experience specifically working with forecasting, budgeting and schedules
- Previous experience supervising, leading and mentoring a team a strong asset

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
